Welcome back to The Morning Brew, the ultimate college talk show brewed fresh at USC. In today’s episode, we dive deep into the traditions that make campus life unforgettable — from the wild underwear runs that pop up near graduation to the dorms we’ve loved (and hated) along the way. We take a nostalgic stroll down memory lane at the legendary 901 Bar, swapping stories and laughing about the nights that somehow became core memories. Plus, we recap Halloween in all its chaotic glory, from costumes to campus energy. This episode also shines a spotlight on student life as we learn more about the Trojan Knights and the spirit they bring to USC. Our Delish team hits campus to try chicken from different spots and give you their honest (and hilarious) reviews. And of course, no Morning Brew would be complete without a signature game to close out the show — because at USC, we take our fun seriously. Grab your coffee and settle in for a packed, spirited, and totally USC-core episode of The Morning Brew. ✨ About The Morning Brew If you’re looking for a fresh and entertaining way to start your day, look no further than The Morning Brew on Trojan Vision! The 901 Bar & Grill—known simply as “The Nine-O”—is one of USC’s most iconic off-campus institutions, a place where generations of Trojans have swapped stories, celebrated victories, and formed friendships that somehow outlast the streaky bar lights and endless baskets of fries. Just steps from campus, the 901 has long been a second home for students: the spot where you pre-game, post-game, decompress after midterms, or walk in “just for one drink” that turns into an entire night of bumping into half your graduating class. It’s the kind of bar where the walls feel like they’ve absorbed decades of Trojan energy—big wins, bad dates, breakthrough moments, and late-night confessions whispered over loud music. Part of the charm of the 901 is how perfectly imperfect it is. The booths are worn from years of student conversations; the TVs somehow make every USC game feel like a championship; and the bar staff always seems to remember a familiar face. It’s a place where time moves strangely—hours disappear, semesters blur together, and you can walk in on a random Tuesday and still feel like you’re part of something bigger. For many students, the 901 is where friendships are sealed, crushes are confessed, and “that one night” stories are born. It’s where you celebrate the end of finals, mourn the start of a new week, or simply show up because you know the odds of running into someone you love (or someone you’re trying to avoid) are extremely high. The 901 isn’t just a bar; it’s a Trojan tradition. Alumni talk about it with the same reverence as tailgates and game days. For current students, it’s a rite of passage: your first time walking in with your friends, your first time seeing the place packed wall-to-wall, your first time saying “we’re only staying 20 minutes” and absolutely lying. It’s loud, it’s crowded, it’s chaotic—and somehow, it’s perfect. When Trojans look back on their USC years, the 901 always makes the highlight reel. It’s a bar, a memory bank, and a core part of what makes the USC experience one of a kind.
