In this video I continue my series on where to launch your kayaks. This week, I talk about launching at Newport Harbor in Southern California. Newport Harbor is a great area to kayak fish. They have a great population of Spotted Bay Bass, Sand Bass and Halibut and the kayak fishing can be incredible. If you get out toward the mouth, you can a good opportunity to fish Calico Bass as well. And once outside, the possibilities are limitless. In this video, I walk you through launching at the Coastguard Beach in Newport Harbor. It is very easy to get to, and has a nice sandy launch.
