Adding an SSD or Solid State Drive to your PC is a great way to make it boot faster as well as launch games and load other applications more quickly. The two most popular types of SSD's on the market today are the standard 2.5” SATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) SSD and the m.2 NVME (Non-Volatile Memory Express) SSD. Both are much, much faster than using a traditional 5400 rpm or even 7200 rpm mechanical hard drive but just how much faster are they really? In this video I compare how long it takes to load Windows 10 as well as some games (Rocket League, Fortnite, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, The Division 2) and several other applications (Adobe Photoshop, Open Office, Microsoft Office, Google Chrome) on a Western Digital Black 7200 rpm mechanical hard drive to how long it takes when using a WD Blue SATA SSD as well as an Intel 660p m.2 NVME SSD. My goal for conducting these tests was to find out just how much of an improvement to your PC's performance you an expect to see when upgrading from a mechanical hard drive to an SSD and for those already rocking SATA SSD's whether or not upgrading to an NVME SSD is worth your time and money. Thanks for watching I hope you enjoy. :) Do you like Star Wars? Are you a fan of the Disney+ TV show The Mandalorian?
