TM200 has one inbuilt Modbus serial line wherein we can connect an external device to TM200 using Modbus RTU (RS485) communication protocol. This video shows you how to use the Modbus serial IO scanning method to communicate diffrent slave devices to TM200 PLC. Normally, when we unplug the communication cable, the IO scanning communication does not get restored again unless we power cycle the TM200 PLC, but the method as described in the video will help you reestablish the communication without power cycle the TM200 PLC. TM200 controller is programmed through EcoStruxure Machine Expert Basic software and Modbus serial is used for communication between ATV320 and TM200 controller. Mini USB is used as programming cable for programming TM200 controller.
