My Ignatian heart is in rapture! Finally set foot on the very cave Saint Ignatius where stayed for eleven months praying, doing penance and eventually crafting his famous Spiritual Exercises. 📖 When we got in, the Church was closing soon but they allowed us to come in for 5 minutes (and some more). In a haste, we scanned the chapel and went to "the very cave". We saw a priest praying the Rosary, and unfortunately we were reminded to hurry. I bought a copy of the Spiritual Exercises and on our way out, we passed by some relics of Saint Ignatius, an espadrille he worn during his stay in Manresa, autographed letter, first printed edition of the SE, and also a reproduction of the sword he presented to the Virgin of Montserrat. I could not fathom but just waves of overwhelming joy 🥹 came through me and just found myself crying, could not contain the gladness of my heart. I'm so thankful for the chance Lord, to be in holy places. To be in the footsteps of holy people - inspirations to my human tendencies that your Kingdom is always at hand. 🥹🫶
