The Burriana beach is considered as one of the best beaches in Nerja. It stands out for its crystal clear waters and fine, golden sand. The beach has wide variety of amenities and updated facilities that make it a popular destination for both locals and visitors. The beach itself is about 800 meters long and on average, about 40 meters wide. The sea has a moderate swell and does get fairly deep quickly. During the summer the water is warm and perfect for dipping. On the beach you will find beach showers, play areas for children and beach volleyball nets. In the summer season, sunbeds are available, as well as water sports activities such as jetski, Banana Boat, kayaking and parasailing can be rented. Just one kilometer from Nerja town, there is a lovely beachfront promenade full of souvenir shops and other businesses. Restaurants and beach bars are located there including the famous Restaurante Ayo, known throughout Spain for its wood-fired Paella.
