While addressing a public rally at Kolar Mandal of Karnataka on May 4, AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi said that people lose faith in Constitution as they hear about encounters as Punishment is the job of the court and no one is punished with bullets. He said, “I was and will remain against the encounter. The way Abbas, Atiq, Ashraf were shot, today I am saying that it was wrong to shoot Anil (Dujana) as well. Encounters weaken the rule of law and people lose faith in the Constitution. Punishment is the job of the court and no one is punished with bullets.” Owaisi also said that if BJP and Congress ask for vote in the name of ‘Bajrangbali’ that would suffice, however if he asked people to vote chanting 'Allah Hu Akbar', then media people will say that Owaisi has taken away. He said, “PM Modi asked the people of Karnataka to say ‘Jai Bajrangbali’ while casting vote. Congress’s DK Shivakumar said that if Congress comes back to power they will build more Hanuman temples in Karnataka. What kind of secularism is this?
