United Airlines Trip Report flying from San Francisco to Honolulu in United Polaris Class onboard one of the United's Boeing 777-300ER on a lovely spring morning. An extremely comfortable flight from San Francisco to Honolulu on United Polaris Class, the highest one available on any United Airlines flight. We flew on a Boeing 777-300ER fitted with the best Polaris seats: the suite-style ones. This plane makes flights up to 14-16 hours, so for a 5-hour one it was just perfect. San Francisco is a huge hub for United Airlines, using a huge amount of space on it. Our flight departed from the International Terminal, meaning the views for planespotting before boarding were just fantastic. We boarded on time and started a very long taxi due to reconstructions on some taxiways at SFO. The views after takeoff were just perfect. Particular mention goes, of course, for the Golden Gate Bridge. The views of it were stunning. We climbed out over the San Francisco area and entered the Pacific Ocean. For the next 4 hours, we saw just water. Water everywhere. Until we reached Honolulu. What an approach over the island. For sure, it's one of the most beautiful approaches I've ever seen. It was just amazing, with clear skies and turkey-blue water. Amazing! About the onboard service, well, this is United's highest class, so you expect the best, and I must say it was pretty good: they first served a full warm breakfast which was really tasty. United offers you the option to pre-book your main course some days before the flight, so you can always get the option that you wish. 1 hour before landing a "snack" was served. Now it's your turn!
