Autumn Afternoon in Itaewon! 이태원에서 가을의 오후!

I have been wanting to go to Old Ferry Donuts for months--but between the location and the sure to be intense sugar coma I still hadn't quite made it yet. So after my finals wrapped up, I decided to make an afternoon out of it and stopped first for some healthy and delicious food at Root @rooteveryday before making my way across the neighborhood for the donut latte I had been coveting so desperately. Itaewon is always an adventure--mostly because everything is so close together but it can take a really long time to get everywhere because of all the twists and turns in the road, the steep hills, gated communities, and lots of construction. When I was studying at Yonsei four years ago I avoided Itaewon like the plague for its reputation and stereotypes, but I am discovering that the area has changed quite a bit and has a lot to offer in the food scene, so I find myself going back again and again. Once I got to the donut shop (@oldferrydonut) I felt like I couldn't just leave having only tried the donut latte (or Tube Latte as it is called on the menu) so I ordered a Tiramisu Donut to eat the next day when there was more room in my stomach :P Have any of you been to either Roots or Old Ferry Donuts?
