In this video, we solve LeetCode 202 – Happy Number using a HashSet-based approach in Java. This problem is a great example of cycle detection, hashing, and number manipulation, which are commonly tested in coding interviews. 🔍 Problem Overview: A number is called Happy if repeatedly replacing it with the sum of the squares of its digits eventually results in 1. If the process enters a loop, the number is not happy. 💡 Approach Used (Using HashSet): ✔ Repeatedly calculate the sum of squares of digits ✔ Store each intermediate value in a HashSet ✔ Detect cycles by checking repeated values ✔ Stop when the value becomes 1 or a loop is found ⏱ Time & Space Complexity: • Time: O(log n) per iteration • Space: O(log n) (HashSet storage) 📌 Why this problem matters? • Teaches cycle detection • Strengthens HashSet usage • Common in screening & easy interview rounds 🏢 Useful for interview preparation at: Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Myntra & other product-based companies 🔗 LeetCode Problem Link: https://leetcode.com/problems/happy-n... 👍 If you’re preparing for DSA or coding interviews, Like, Share, and Subscribe for daily LeetCode problems solved in Java! #LeetCode202 #HappyNumber #HashSet #CycleDetection #LeetCodeDaily #DSA #Java #CodingInterview #ProblemSolving
