"I'd like to be just the way you like me to be") was composed by none other than Norbert "Lili Marleen" Schultze for the 1940 movie "Frau nach Mass" - directed by Helmut Käutner with Hans Söhnker and Leny Marenbach in the leading roles. I like this version by Will Glahe and his Harmonica orchestra very much. It is elegant and doesn't overdo it in the harmonica department. The video is a tongue in cheeck look at wartime fashion - featuring sequences from a French newsreel from the Phony War ("Drôle de guerre") period, publicity for hats from a 1940 issue of "Marie-Claire", publicity for cosmetics from the last ever issue of "Filmwelt" (March, 1943) as well as a French newsreel sequence which offers ladies an alternative to stockings : painted stockings!
