This video from The Honest Carpenter and CCS Triangle Electric in Wake Forest / Raleigh, NC will show you how to carry out a full replacement of a fluorescent kitchen light with a new LED flush-mount ceiling light fixture! Note how unit is assembled 4) Trim LED ceiling light fixture wires slightly to expose fresh wire strand. 5) If necessary, install new junction box in ceiling to house wiring. Use a jab saw / drywall saw to carefully cut hole for box. BE SURE NOT TO CUT WIRES/DUCTS IN CEILING! 6) Position new disassembled LED ceiling light fixture where you intend it to go. Be sure unit looks properly aligned in room. 7) Mark for screw locations on unit. Pre-install screws to hook LED ceiling light temporarily in place. 8) Connect wiring in junction box to new LED ceiling light fixture for replacement. It can be helpful to have someone hold light fixture while doing this. Tuck connected wires into J-box. 9) Hook LED ceiling light in place. Check alignment once again. 10) Test that unit works by briefly turning power back on at panel, then off once again. 11) Fully drive mounting screws. 12) Attach remaining hardware for LED ceiling light replacement fixture.
