If we practice medicine the way we' want ourselves to be treated as patients as well as a family members then it follows those missions. Good day, I'm Earl Brewley, I'm an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow and I work at Salem Health. My reasons for becoming a provider were due to my early exposure in the hospital while my mother worked. I was able to have the right opportunities to have early exposure to medicine and also the resources around for me to thrive in that career. I joined Salem Health as an opportunity to bring my orthopedic skill set to provide care to the surrounding counties. We're able to work with a collegial group that helped support the mission of the hospital. I have a unique opportunity to practice within the shoulder and elbow sub specialties in orthopedics. I typically love to take up patients who have recurrent instability, torn rotator cuffs, osteoarthritis of the shoulder requiring reverse and anatomic shoulder replacement. I think the ideal way to present yourself to patients is one of a professional caring and understanding orthopedic surgeon. Patients will like to be treated not just by the results that may show on lab tests, physical exam findings or MRIs but who they are as an individual and how you can improve their quality of life.
