Breaking News: ECI Plans Nationwide Voter List Revision; Bihar To Be The Template | India Today

The Election Commission of India (ECI) is initiating a nationwide Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. A key meeting is currently underway in the national capital between the ECI and the Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) of all states to discuss the preparations for this extensive exercise. The ECI has directed the state CEOs to complete all necessary paperwork by the 30th of September. The SIR process, which is already in progress in the state of Bihar, will serve as a template for the countrywide rollout.
