Lovely Louise Fazenda in the 1920s American actress Louise Fazenda, born in 1895 in Lafayette, Indiana, made her film debut in 1913, gaining experience in small roles. She became best known as a character actress in silent films, often portraying roles like the fussy spinster or the blacksmith. Fazenda briefly left films from 1921 to 1922 to perform in vaudeville. Her transition to talkies led to more serious roles, including a giggling bride in the prestigious anti-war film The Road Back.
