We are deeply honoured to host Mr. Man Mohan Sharma, a distinguished member of the Delhi Higher Judicial Service, whose career spans more than three decades across the Bar, the Bench, academia, mediation, arbitration, and public institutions. Sir, began his journey as a first-generation lawyer, practising independently for over a decade before entering the judicial services. Over the years, he has served in a wide range of judicial capacities including Additional District Judge, Presiding Officer of the Labour Court, Judge In-charge of the Delhi Mediation Centre, District Judge (Commercial Court), Principal Judge of the Family Court, and most recently as the Director of the Delhi Judicial Academy, where he played a pivotal role in shaping judicial training and capacity building. He has also served as a Senior Trainer with the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee of the Supreme Court of India, reflecting his deep commitment to alternative dispute resolution. In addition to his judicial work, he has taught at the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, worked as a Law Officer with Oriental Bank of Commerce, and continues to engage with the law as an independent practitioner, mediator, arbitrator, and mentor. With his rare 360-degree exposure to the legal system—from classrooms to courtrooms, from trial advocacy to judicial decision-making— Sir’s journey offers invaluable guidance to law students who aspire to build a career in the judiciary.
