CARE principles and Indigenous Data Sovereignty (IDSov) are representations and expressions of the inherent and unique rights of Tribal groups in the U.S. and Indigenous Peoples around the world. Through presentations on the legal frameworks of Tribal and Indigenous Peoples’ rights to data and project-specific navigations of these topics, this meeting highlights the legal and relational considerations concerning both the CARE principles and IDSov between federal employees, researchers, and Indigenous Peoples/Tribes in the Arctic.
