Our planet and the people on it keep getting more and more urbanized. Around the world, there are 38 metropolitan areas with at least 10 million inhabitants, including New York, of course. Among other things, that's a lot of filmmakers, and for the third year, now, the MegaCities ShortDocs International Festival is trying to persuade as many as possible to make and submit their films. With the continuing trend of developing MegaCities, and the increased ability to directly connect with residents of other cities, grassroots solutions to the new challenges and opportunities that global communities like these creates.
