QANTAS B787-9 QF33 Premium Economy - Sydney to Perth, Premium Economy On A Domestic Flight (4K)

QF33 is one of the few regular Domestic Flights that leaves from the International Terminal. Even though a lot of passengers continue through to CDG in Paris, a lot finish their journey in Perth, with other passengers joining the flight at Perth with a 2-3 hour transit. Technically being an international flight, and in a Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner, means a 3 class cabin, Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class. Last June I did this same flight, but in Business Class, and given it was only 13,100 points to upgrade to Premium Economy I locked in my upgrade request which came through roughly 72 hours prior to the flight. Prior to the flight it was nice to try a few different items in the Lounge, most of my flying over the past 6-9 months has been morning flights, so lots of Eggs Benedicts... Flight departure was slightly delayed, but that time was made up for during the flight. The meal was very good, and service by the crew excellent. Whilst 4 hours is not exactly a long flight, I found the Premium Economy cabin to be perfect for this flight, equivalent, if not slightly better than Business Class on the normal narrow body domestic fleet such as the B737-800. For an 16-17hr flight... I think if the assurance was there for an empty neighbouring seat in Economy, that would be my preference.
