Stirred, Not Shaken: The Pilot Episode How did the PIC model become the conversation we had to share? For a while now, I’ve been using the PIC model in my work with Organisational Development spaces, leadership settings, and relationships. It’s a simple but powerful tripod: Partnership, Intimacy, Companionship. It is a simple and intuitive model, but as they say, simplicity is a derivative of complexity, so I wanted to know how she, i.e., my partner Niti, arrived at it. And so, before we even had a name for the series, we sat down to record a conversation about the model, what shaped it, and why it matters. That conversation in its unfiltered, reflective and sometimes wobbly form became the seed for what is now this podcast. We’re calling it ‘Stirred, Not Shaken.’ Because love doesn’t need performance. It needs slow stirring. Gentle courage. Honest reflection. Dheemi aanch…And sometimes, a quiet spoon scraping the bottom of what we thought we knew. In fact, ye, sabse zyada. As we continue on our intentional and conversation-filled life journey together, we hope to occasionally share some of our private conversations publicly, because, as two people who love each other, we have come to realise that love alone isn’t enough. It needs attention. It needs work. Kaafi saara. The truth is, koi bhi rishta …at home, work, and communities; is never just our business. Relationships shape everything. They are the foundation of all growth: emotional, professional, societal. And so, perhaps it’s time we all started asking ourselves: What are my relationships made of? Do they make me expand, and can I breathe life force into the relationship? This pilot episode marks the beginning. Par ye sirf shuruaat hai… Watch when you can. Listen slowly.
