Installation of spear pro fiberglass blades into spear pro genesis foot pockets. 1. Set foot pockets out in the sun until they are hot to the touch. This will make them much more flexible and really helps with the installation of the tendons on the blades. 2. Install blade into the foot pocket, fully seating the blade and ensuring that the crease/bend in the blade is aligned with the crease/bend in the foot pocket. Ensure that fin is straight in the foot pocket. 3. Drill holes in the blade that are aligned/centered with the holes in the foot pocket. The holes should be sized to the screws that come with the foot pocket hardware kit, not the hole size of the foot pocket. In my case, this size was 5/32. 4. Install foot pocket hardware with a screw driver. Do not over tighten so as not to strip the plastic. 5. Bend the tendon as you install the tendon on the blade. Bending the tending will open up the slit/track that the blade sits in. As the slit/track opens, press it over the rails of the blades. 6. Install retaining clips on end of the tendons.
