Portstewart Golf Club: The Portstewart Golf Club was the last course I played in Northern Ireland. It has the best and most dramatic front nine I have ever played. The front nine is exhilarating and a must-play for any golfer on a journey to collect the best golf experiences. Portstewart is set around and through gigantic dunes. After the front nine, the course seems too slowly decrescendo toward a more pastoral course. Holes 10-15 are fun and appealing but do not have massive dunes framing the holes like the front 9. I left the course thrilled with my overall golf experience and highly recommend it. Portstewart is also directly across the street from a stunning beach and makes for an excellent opportunity to take your shoes off, walk in the sand and appreciate all of the beauty Ireland truly has to offer. Note: A golf trip to Northern Island would be incomplete without playing Portstewart. As you can tell, I am a huge fan of Portstewart's front nine and must add that the back nine is not in any way bad. The greatness of the front nine makes the course feel top-heavy and overshadows the back nine.
