This is the first Basic Series of Videos demonstrating the ease of use of the Table Top Tamisium Butane Chemical Oil Extractor. This third video shows the safe simplicity and ease of recovering 100% of your butane for reuse. In this second video I show you how to set up the extractor for recovery of the solvent and how to determine when the recovery process is complete using nothing but a Laser Thermometer, checking with a scale. I will then show the contents of the extractor tank as we pour out the extracted lavender oil. Got out 6 grams of oil from 2.5 ounces of lavender flowers. This extractor extracts oil from plants with a 94% minimum efficiency using the basic extraction methods demonstrated in this series. Remember that disposable canisters are not pure butane. When using them to extract with, dont expect to recover all the solvent for reuse. Only when using 99% pure or greater butane can you expect a full recovery of your solvent after extraction of the oil or chemicals you are extracting from the plant. Not sure what the manufacturers of the disposable canisters add to the butane but I am pretty sure it is propane. This system is designed to efficiently recover butane and some other more easily evaporative solvents if you are willing to wait. 650 milliliters of butane will recover in 1 hour or less. Always check for leaks by immersing the extractor under water while under some pressure.
