Dollar store lunch cost 59 cents- poached egg,sausages,toast cream cheese carrots

Today we are making a low-cost lunch with food from the Dollar Tree Store with the exception of a couple of ingredients. We are making a lunch that costs 59 cents and consists of a poached egg, steamed carrots, rye bread with cream cheese and two chicken apple infused sausages. The cost was about 59 cents. For another 12 cents, we added a cup of tea, sugar and a frozen chocolate covered graham cracker cooky. I initially started this recipe trying to use asparagus but it was too old and woody. Also, the asparagus will cost a lot more. Poached eggs are quite easy to make. You do need a slotted spoon and to stir the water so the eggs do not stick together and dry the eggs off in a towel before adding to the dish. This lunch was very tasty and easy to make and I intend on having it more often.
