As debates on racism continue, a massive #ZUMAMUSTFALL billboard erected on a block of flats in Cape Town hit social media platforms over the weekend. A group alleged to be African National Congress supporters have subsequently removed the controversial banner. Speaking at a send-off on Friday evening for 19 students funded by the Jacob G Zuma Foundation to study in Nigeria, Deputy Trade and Industry Minister and Ekurhuleni Metro Region's ANC Chairman Mzwandile Masina said those who erected the billboard are racists. He also reiterated that South Africans need to adopt a culture of respect towards the President. Meanwhile, the City of Cape Town says the banner contravened its outdoor advertising by-laws as well as national building regulations and that the person responsible for this would be prosecuted.
