Our patient has difficulties with running, jogging, and walking and has reported having a low flexibility level. Before his ASTR treatment, John claims that his pain level is at an 8 out of 10 when carrying out the simple task of walking. Our first test was to see how many rounds our patient could walk without aggravating his pain. Patient makes it to six rounds and reports the main source of his pain coming from his left leg. John has a lot of scar tissue in his left achilles tendon from his previous surgery. He is given ASTR treatment to alleviate his tendons and supporting muscles. John is then asked to carry out multiple trial runs of walking back and forth so we could assess any pains or problems he may have. He was able to make it to 10 rounds after one ASTR session. It is suggested that he walks barefoot to help his condition and attends multiple sessions for long term results.
