God is an active God: He is not passive, not indifferent, and certainly not asleep. 1 Kings 18:27, Psalm 121:4–5 II. The God Who Confronts Chaos (Genesis 1:2) Would God create something void? No! Isaiah 45:18 – God did not create the earth to be empty, but to be inhabited. III. The God Who Speaks Light into Darkness (Genesis 1:3) Light brings clarity, vision, life, and transformation. Where there is light, darkness must flee. John 1:5 – “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” IV . The God Who Separates (Genesis 1:4–5) This is not a blending of opposites, but a clear distinction. 1 Thessalonians 5:5 2 Corinthians 6:14–18 As children of light, we are called to live distinct lives. God has called us out of darkness—do not go back. Maintain spiritual boundaries. Do not unite what God has separated.
