The best (or worst?) MT-2 Metal Zone mod EVER!

A couple of days ago I had a customer ask me for an odd request. "I don't want to waste your time as funnily enough, I'm hardly a pedal guy at all. I love tuning in to your YouTube channel and that pedal show and the Andertons stuff, but pedals aren't for me. I use the green channel on a Peavey 6505 and switch between pickups and change my pick attack and that gets me enough variation in tone. I recently had the opportunity to buy a boss metal zone for $10, and I thought it would be cool to use it as a fake pedal so that when I'm asked about my tone or when people that fold their arms and stroke their beards as they watch check out my gear, they might see the MT-2 and wonder how it doesn't sound exceptionally terrible. Can I pretty much gut or bypass the inside, have the input go to the output and not touch anything else, and make the switch/battery operate the red LED only? " Of course I had to help him out with this... it seemed like a great idea to mess with people, and if you've watched my videos for a while you know I love the quirkiness.
