I wrestled with this for many many years, as i grew up in a culture that makes head covering a salvation issue, until God clearly showed me... God provides the veil "the hair has been given for a covering" Just like God provides the covering for Sin, which is Jesus Holy blood! He also provides the head covering! God always provides in any and every single area of our lives, in what we need. It all comes down to an heart of unbelief. And thinking that one can improve upon what God provides, or that some piece of fabric is somehow gonna help God out in making our hearts more submissive, obedient or protect against "the angels" ridiculous and superstitious. 1Cor 11:3,15: "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. … But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering." Eph 5:22-24: "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing."
