I have a lot of used equipment, some of which doesn't have their boxes any more. I've always wanted to share my thoughts, but up until today, the only way I had set up for that was my Model of the Week program on Instagram. Now I have a new series: Retro Reviews. In this series I'll be reviewing things you can't go to your local hobby shop and buy, but rather can purchase on eBay or other used online shopping websites. Today I'm reviewing the HO Scale EMD E8 by IHC. It has horn hook couplers and sure as heck doesn't run on DCC, and it has no seperately applied details. But thanks to this combined with a relatively inexpensive price, this could be the perfect locomotive for a younger modeler, or perhaps a child's own train to run on an existing layout.
