Buffing, polishing, compounding, cut and buff—it all comes down to the same process: correcting the painted surface. In other words, removing imperfections to make the finish look flawless (or at least pretty darn close 😉). Whether you’re working with Awlgrip (technically Awlcraft 2000), Alexseal or another buffable paint, this finishing step can be the difference between a good paint job and one that looks nearly perfect. That said, there are some tips and techniques that can make or break the end results which is what I go through in this video Paint is a bit more finicky than gelcoat, but this is still 100% a DIY-friendly task!
