OMICRON’s Decision Support tool enables predictive maintenance for bridges and roads

The OMICRON intelligent platform includes a powerful Digital Twin and Decision Support System. This allows road managers to visualise and analyse road inspection data and more effectively predict and plan maintenance. Paula López (CEMOSA) explains how machine learning and sensor data are used to predict road and bridge conditions, allowing for better predictive maintenance strategies, reduced maintenance costs, improved operational efficiency and better infrastructure asset management. This was part of the 6th External Advisory Board meeting on 19 November 2024. This online workshop included key stakeholders representing road owners and managers, maintenance and construction specialists among other experts.
