Tag along as we tackle some of the Black Hills rock crawling routes available during the seasonal trail closure! This run was apart of Black Hills Jeeps February Club run! Black Hills Jeeps is a local 501-C3 Non-Profit 4x4 club apart of the Black Hills 4x4 Coalition. While on our way out, we check buck and rail barriers that were put up to preserve the rock crawling route. These projects are collaborated, and agreed on by 4 local OHV groups to help keep trails like this open. Rock Crawling in the Black Hills is a great time! However, it requires users staying on the trail, and on the obstacles to help us keep our 15 miles or rock crawling trails open. From boulders implanting themselves in troublesome spots, to 3 wheeling JKs, we have a blast taking on the 6+ rated trail. A fore warning, the Black Hills trail ratings have often times been deemed under represented. With comments boasting our 5-6 rated trails being compared to 8 rated trails in other parts of the US. If you find yourself out on the rock crawling trails, help us protect the adventure! You will need a Motorized trail permit for the many trails in my videos. Help us keep the historical sites, the beautiful views, and the trails clean. Pack out what you pack in, Mud Bogging in the hills is illegal, do not use the trails when they are saturated. Go over, not around obstacles along the trail. There are no legal bailouts or bypasses on the trails. Campfires while dispersed camping are illegal. The Black Hills 4x4 community gladly, and proudly embraces the Tread Lightly! guidelines, and it is asked that you help us do the part to protect the adventure by following those guidelines.
