Today I’m going to be talking about Get Together LARPs. What is a get together LARP? Basically a LARP that takes the place of a normal get together, and usually surrounds a single activity or group of activities. Rather than having a normal game night for example, maybe you host a medieval fantasy tavern night with roleplay, in game currency to gamble with feast ware, food, and drink all in genre. Maybe you had an activity in mind, like crafting and you want to turn it into a merchant roleplay, where everyone crafts their items in character and when they are finished they get ‘sold’ for a certain amount of coin, and you can cash coin, to start your own stall, store, and buy and sell goods in the future. Roleplaying or gamifying a get together is basically a Get Together LARP. Something I didn't mention in this one is the use of cards or other things for combat that isn't just hitting each other with foam weapons. Parlor LARPs sometimes use a card system to represent combat and you can do something similar! Even something like rock paper scissors if you wanted! lol Fill this out as a group: Genre: Activit(y/ies): Roleplay Light or Heavy: Location: Story: (what brings everyone there or the point of the activity being done) Game systems needed: For a simple Character sheet, have players fill this out: Character name: Age: Race: (If applicable) Background: Role: (If applicable) Why they’re there: (I.E Motivations) Add and remove whatever you need from these, and remember you have to make the game systems you list as a group too! ----------------- Timestamps: 2:02 - 1.
