People note that the staff are friendly, helpful, kind — particularly housekeeping and bar staff. Makes a big difference when other aspects are weak.  • Location: Excellent for walking around. Old Town is close, the beach likewise. Shops, bars, restaurants are nearby. If your priority is to be in the hub of things, this hotel does well.  • Drinks: You said “drinks were great” — that matches many reports of the bars being decent. There is praise for variety and bar staff.  ⸻ What doesn’t • The food: Like you, many reviews are underwhelmed. It’s often described as “bland”, “repetitive”, “basic”, sometimes even making people eat out.
