She got captured by Cipher (Charlize Theron who also played in Mad Max: Fury Road and The Old Guard) before she could tell him the truth. Elena asks Dom for forgiveness and begs him to save their son at all cost. Cipher puts a gun in Dom’s hands and tells him that if he wants he can kill her, but that a group of highly paid assassins is watching them and if she dies they will come and kill Dom’s son.
