Scanning Film with a Digital Camera

Welcome to a new video! In this week's video we're scanning film negatives using a digital camera! This is nothing new but I thought I would give it a shot myself and document the process. This isn't a step-by-step guide, more of a vlog of the process. The process for scanning with a digital camera is pretty easy and you don't need much additional equipment. It's also a great way to have more control over the look of your film photos! In addition to Dan;s mirrorless camera and a macro lens, we used a film holder, a tripod and my phone as a light source. And then you just take a raw photo of the negative. Once you have all the raw photos you import them into Lightroom and using the Negative Lab Pro plug-in, just convert the negative to a colour image. I was really happy with the results and going forward, I'll definitely try to scan my film myself as much as I can. I hope you guys enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!
