Fantasy Worldbuilding and Maps – Creating a Watercolour Fantasy Map

In this video, I’ll start painting the fantasy map of the Oxgate region using watercolours. I’ll also show you some video footage from Sweden where I spent a whole weekend playing roleplaying games with my friends and old Dungeons and Dragons group. Since I grew up in Sweden it’s no surprise that Scandinavian nature, folklore, and Norse legend have had a massive impact on my writing. I’ll also talk about fantasy worldbuilding and our campaign world Eastern Farraway. In addition, I’ll also talk about watercolour techniques that I’ve learned and show you how I create the map layer by layer using watercolours. I’m a beginner when it comes to drawing and painting fantasy maps, but I hope that this video can be useful or inspiring nonetheless.
