20181108192049 1980 shovelhead #101 92ci topend rebuild stroker fxe street racer harley cam change tatro machine the customer came in for a noisy topend. the rocker-arms really start making noise after the motor warms up even tho it only had a few hundred miles on it. he liked my youtube videos so he loaded up his bike in texas and headed to san diego, he was here in a day or so. see what happens as we dig into it. the 1980 fxe shovelhead has been lighten up for a street racer look and the power comes from a 92ci stroker shovelhead motor. the stroke is 4-3/4" and the rest is a stock .020 over 80" topend. the cam is a strong running crane 298-2b hyd cam with solid lifters. things i am going to do is fix the rocker-arms and rebuild the heads with some porting. we will also be installing a bigger crane 310b camshaft and a original nos sifter hi/per lifter kit. this will make for a nice hi rpm quieter and stronger running motor for his harley hotrod. tatro
