Message Of The Quran Sheikh Ahmed Deedat أحمد ديدات - رحمه الله Digitally remastered for better picture and sound. A lecture delivered at the Islamic Cultural Centre, Regent's Park Mosque, London in 1988 Deedat delivers a wake-up blow to Muslims as he expounds on Surah 3 Verse 64. He explains how historically Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) sent his companions on five steeds to the five empires of his time with the message of monotheism. He explains how Muslims have failed in continuing with this imperative despite our technological advances. He expands on the atomistic interpretation that Muslims have relegated their recitation and interpretation of the Qur'an in particular with regards to Surah 3 Verse 110 omitting passages which refer to the people of the Book. He leaves the viewer in tatters relaying his personal experiences with an Egyptian Christian at the Cairo airport who found his discourses on the "comforter" mentioned in the Gospel of John rather novel and unique in view of the fact that a majority of Egyptian Muslims were more interested in socializing and dating Egyptian Christian women. Deedat mention the "secret" contained in the Qur'an which prescribes the methodology and technique in approaching Jews and Christians. Concluding that one third of the Qur'an addresses the people of the Book. It behoves Muslims to initiate the efforts in propagating the faith. Complete lack of da'wah on the part of Muslims is consequentially leading Muslims to become proverbial "door-mats" for Christian missionaries. The viewer will get a bird's eye view to the fundamental message of the Qur'an is its real role for Muslims in relation to Christians and Jews.
