This morning I thought we had a no-news Monday, but it turned out there was a small orange-folder release that moved the market. Instead of chasing trades, I stuck to my plan and spent the morning backtesting. I ran through three full weeks of ORB strategy data and came out ahead about $3,590 overall. That doesn’t mean it’s a perfect setup — three weeks is still a small sample size — but it’s a solid step in the right direction. More importantly, it’s another reminder that backtesting is one of the most important parts of trading. It builds confidence, sharpens setups, and keeps you improving even when you’re not in a live trade.
