On a Boat (Yarra River)

Our last full day found us finally driving into the CBD (we’re not big fans of heavy city traffic and parking) for a self-skippered boat ride on the Yarra River! The weather was so beautiful that morning as we all took turns at steering the boat, singing (and dancing, for Lauren) to the music, and snacking on the fruits we’d prepared. It also happened to be our 13th wedding anniversary that day and it was a fun and relaxing way to celebrate and also take in the city sights! We only booked an hour’s worth but you could book longer if you wanted to traverse further down the river, but it got quite hot as it approached noon, and we were glad to seek reprieve from the heat at a lovely waterfront cafe/restaurant after. T’was a great way to end our holiday!
