Staying home but need to practice. Here's a quick and easy P-rail box to make. I made a few mistakes along the way so watch along and learn how to do it right. Project Time - approximately 60 to 90 minutes depending on equipment and skill level Project Difficulty - easy If you want a good starter power tool set that has everything you need for this and lots of other projects, this is the one I use: https://amzn.to/3a4ZFUW Material • Dimensional Lumber (use metric equivalents if needed in your location) ○ One (1) 2" x 10", minimum 10ft ○ Two (2) 2" x 6", minimum 10 ft ○ One (1) 2" x 4", 8ft long should be sufficient for 6 cross braces • Two (2) 2" Internal Diameter PVC pipes; min 10ft long ○ Alternatively you can change one pipe out for a a 1.5" Internal Diameter to make soul grinds a little easier • 1lb box of 3 1/2" deck screws, Philips Head ○ You can use Torx/star head screws but you will need a long shank Torx/star driver bit and/or hand tool to drive them home (see discussion in the video) Equipment • Safety Equipment for working with power tools ○ Hearing protection ○ Eye protection ○ Any other protection you feel necessary - stay safe, it's not worth cutting corners and getting injured • Wood saw ○ Hand saw is OK but a power saw like a circular saw will make it quicker • Drill with drill bits for making holes and driver bits for driving the screws ○ Alternatively adding an impact driver will make driving the deck screws faster and easier without needing a pilot hole • Measurement and marking Equipment ○ Tape Measure ○ Pencil ○ Straight edge/square (although you can eyeball it as the cuts aren't long or need to be super accurate) Check out my website: http://www.coreyeligibson.com.au/ Thanks to Travis at Blader Union (bladerunion.com) for showing his version of this and the folks on the Back to Blading Slack (backtoblading.slack.com) for the encouragement.
