From the game Lord of the Rings Online. :) -- "Low Lands is an area within Ered Luin in the central region. Embedded below the northern, majestic Blue Mountains and above the southern Rath Teraig lies the Low Lands. Dourhands fortify the north of the area while goblins threaten from the west and south. Through its midst runs the main road from Thorin's Hall, through Haudh Lin and beyond, and just by the crossway to Rath Teraig lies Gondamon, the old elven stone fortress. In Gondamon sturdy dwarves provide great services of all sorts, making it the only chief town of the central Ered Luin. Gondamon is a settlement located within the area of Low Lands in Ered Luin. Gondamon is Sindarin for "Hill of Stone" which is apt as for this stone fortress. This regional hub lies along the main road through Ered Luin. Recently goblins from the southern Rath Teraig and Dourhands from the north (who yet today are loyal to Skorgrím) have made the residents troubled, not to mention the sudden tension between elves and peaceful dwarves. Noglond is a settlement located within the area of Vale of Thrain in Ered Luin. Noglond is Sindarin for "Haven of the Dwarves" and indeed this way-station lights one's heart having travelled from the cold norths of the Blue Mountain and not yet seeing the Low Lands beyond. This location serves as a provisioner's outpost and a resting place for merchants and weary travellers at the main east-west road. However, recently there are problems with food and water supply because creatures are more aggressive and goblins have set camp not far away. Haudh Lin is an area within Ered Luin in the north-eastern region. Located out of immediate reach of dwarves and elves of the western Low Lands and the southern Falathlorn, respectively, this area is now overrun by all sorts of evil creatures and foul Dourhand dwarves. While this snow-covered area indeed dampens the spirits of many the sight of Thrasi's Lodge is a safe haven for adventurers, just south of the main road."
