My First 1911: Springfield Armory Champion

I have a ton of range stories with this ‪@SpringfieldArmoryInc‬ Champion 1911 .45ACP. As my first handgun, I learned a fair bit of lessons on this platform. How to make shots count, because despite the size of the round, you still only have 7 chances at making contact. That shooting without a cause was fun, but a costly endeavor. And, that somethings given to you by your dad are worth keeping the way he gave them to you. I've since moved on from the platform, and in most part the brand, but I still love this gun, I always will. What was your first handgun, do you still have it???
