George Ivor Hyde, 25, was charged with being an accessory after the fact to Watene's murder between April 16, 2020, and April 27, 2020. He was found not guilty on that charge but guilty of being an accessory after the fact to manslaughter. The verdict was delivered on Thursday after an almost four-week trial at the High Court in Invercargill.
