Australia Part 25: Birds of Paradise and more! Birding the Lake Eacham area and Lake Barrine Oct 3-4

In this video we're keeping very local, around Lake Eacham but with two visits to Lake Barrine. At Chambers Wildlife Rainforest Lodge we walk a trail and hear a lot of birds and glimpse a Whipbird, we enjoy the moths that had been drawn to the porch light, we make a short visit to Lake Eacham where I spot some fish. As the darkness fell we returned to the hide to watch the night critters, same as yesterday: Krefft's Glider, Striped Possum and Long-nosed Bandycoot. Next morning was time for checkout, but we made time for an early visit to Lake Barrine where we were successful finding a Tooth-billed Bowerbird. Got a close look of that one, while it "sang". After lunch we checked in at Crater Lakes Rainforest Cottages, got our goodie basket (with pellets to the Pademelons, mealworms to the Riflebirds, Whipbirds and Honeyeaters and fruit for the Catbirds and Honeyeaters, plus some milk, egg and bacon for breakfast to us) and headed to our nice cottage. The afternoon and evening was then spent on the porch, enjoying the tame birds.
