The patient is a 58-year-old gentleman who has bilateral inguinal hernias. He has a fairly large hernia on the right side and on the left side, a moderate sized hernia. He reportedly had symptoms beginning in 2015, which is about 3 years ago, and this began relatively soon after he had an open hydrocelectomy on the right side. A few weeks after the procedure, he began noticing a bulge on the right, which became larger, and eventually started noticing a bulge on the left. He was not complaining of much pain from these hernias but the size was clearly bothersome. Furthermore, on the right, it was extending down into his scrotum.
