For more from bp, subscribe to our YouTube channel:    / @bpplc   When bp received an email from Chris Tangey about the devastating issue of petrol sniffing, bp responded to help find a solution which resulted in the development of Opal fuel - a low aromatic fuel. We can take part and listen to the stories of the people affected by petrol sniffing in Papunya and how the 10 year journey of Opal fuel has helped tackle the issue in many other communities in Australia. Opal fuel was introduced into 37 affected communities in 2005 and later because of its success increased to 115. Australian Government research has shown that since the introduction of Opal fuel, 94% of the incidence of petrol sniffing has been reduced.
