Westjet 132 | Calgary (YYC) - Winnipeg (YWG) | Trip Report 2017

Welcome everyone to this trip report :). This day I decided to fly from Calgary to Winnipeg and back. Started out the day taking a taxi from my hotel to the Airport just after 6am checked in and went through security right away. Had breakfast at Tim Horton's then explored the airport a bit before my flight Westjet 132. The flight left a little earlier then the 8:55am scheduled departure time. We taxied all the way around to runway 17L for departure, I also saw a couple of birds fly off the runway just as we were lining up to takeoff so that made me nervous for a minute but we were find didn't tit them or anything. The flight was great :) barely any clouds the whole way so got some fantastic shots of the Canadian Prairies, also some nice views of Regina, SK. The decent into Winnipeg couldn't have been more beautiful nice views, and a very smooth ride, The landing was a little rough thought I will admit. We landed on Runway 36 in Winnipeg and taxied in we were stopped for a minute having to wait for a departing aircraft to start taxing, I made a joke for the pilot to "honk the horn" lol couldn't resist.
